From the Greek word logos. Jesus is the Personal Word, a title given to Him as the Son of God. In John 1:1-18, the Word (Jesus) is a distinct and superior Personality. The Word (Jesus) is not just in company with God, but He has the most intimate communion with God. The Word (Jesus) IS God--He is Deity. The Word (Jesus) is creative power. The Word (Jesus) BECAME flesh, showing a voluntary action on the part of Jesus. The Word (Jesus) is the glory or radiance of God in flesh. The Word (Jesus) showed us not just a part of the Divine nature of God, but He showed us the whole Deity. He IS God. The Word (Jesus) is not an instrument used by God--He is the exact image of God among us. The Word (Jesus) is distinct from, and yet literally equal to, God. He is the exact image of God's substance, or essence. Jesus is God's Personal Word to us. The Word is Truth. Truth came from the Father. We must listen to and obey Him. See John 6:46; John 10:30; John 10:38; John 14:6; John 14:9-11.
The Word, Jesus, spoke only what the Father taught Him: "So Jesus said, ‘When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am the One I claim to be and that I do nothing on My Own but speak just what the Father has taught Me. The One Who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do what pleases Him,'" (John 8:28-29). And in John 12:49-50, Jesus says, "For I did not speak of My Own accord, but the Father Who sent Me commanded Me what to say and how to say it. I know that His command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told Me to say."
Jesus IS the Word. He is the Word of the Father--the Word of God. John 1:1-2 says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning."
The very Word that Jesus spoke will condemn the man who rejects Him and does not accept His Words. John 12:47-48 says, "As for the person who hears My Words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it. There is a judge for the one who rejects Me and does not accept My Words; that very Word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day."

From the Greek word proskuneo (pros meaning "towards", and kuneo meaning "to kiss--to kiss towards, or, to kiss the feet of"). It means, "to make obeisance, to do reverence to, to give homage, to revere or give reverence to." NOTE: Obeisance is to bow before. It can mean more than "bow." It can mean to lie prostrate, face down, at the feet of, say, a king, extend the arms, grasp the king's feet/ankles with the hands, and kiss the feet of the king--an act of homage or reverence--worship, as in Matthew 28:9. NOTE: Reverence is honor, devotion and respect mixed with adoration, love and awe. NOTE: Homage, or, to give homage to, is reverential regard--to treat another with reverence, as defined above. Our worship to God is to be offered in spirit and in Truth, (John 4:23-24). God's children offer their bodies as living sacrifices--our spiritual act of worship--by not conforming any longer to the pattern of the world, but being transformed by the renewing of our minds, (Romans 12:1-2). We are to worship the Lord with gladness, (Psalm 100:2). Psalm 95:6-7 says, "Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care."
