MORE INFORMATION AND/OR OTHER SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:
        • See "CALL / CALLED / CALLING" in the Glossary.

Romans 8:28-30: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified."

        • "fellowship" is the Greek word koinonia, from koinoonos, meaning "partner, partnership, participation."

2 Corinthians 13:14: "May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all."

Philippians 2:1: "If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from His love, if any fellowship with the Spirit..."

Philippians 3:10: "I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings, becoming like Him in His death..."

1 John 1:1-3: "That Which was from the beginning, Which we have heard, Which we have seen with our eyes, Which we have looked at and our hands have touched--this we proclaim concerning the Word of Life. The Life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the Eternal Life, Which was with the Father and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ."
