Answer: The Name of Jesus Christ is the ONLY name under
heaven given to men by which we must be saved, (verses
10-12).
MORE INFORMATION AND/OR OTHER SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:
The Name the Jews rejected became the ONLY Name by which they
could be reconciled to the Father of that Name. ALL salvation
is through (by, in, with) THE NAME:
Matthew 1:21: "She will give birth
to a son, and you are to give Him the Name Jesus, because He will
save His people from their sins."
John 14:6: "Jesus answered,
'I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the
Father except through Me.'"
John 20:30-31: "Jesus did many
other miraculous signs in the presence of His disciples, which are
not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may
believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by
believing you may have life in His Name."
Acts 5:30-31: "The God of our
fathers raised Jesus from the dead--Whom you had killed by
hanging Him on a tree. God exalted Him to His Own right hand
as Prince and Savior that He might give repentance and forgiveness
of sins to Israel."
Acts 10:34-43: "Then Peter began to
speak: 'I now realize how true it is that God does not show
favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear Him and do
what is right. You know the message God sent to the people of
Israel, telling the Good News of peace through Jesus Christ, Who is
Lord of all. You know what has happened throughout Judea,
beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached--how
God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and
how He went around doing good and healing all who were under the
power of the devil, because God was with Him. We are
witnesses of everything He did in the country of the Jews and in
Jerusalem. They killed Him by hanging Him on a tree, but God raised
Him from the dead on the third day and caused Him to be seen.
He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had
already chosen--by us who ate and drank with Him after He rose
from the dead. He commanded us to preach to the people and to
testify that He is the One Whom God appointed as Judge of the
living and the dead. All the prophets testify about Him that
everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins through
His Name.'"
1 Corinthians 6:9-11: "Do you not
know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be
deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers
nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the
greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the
kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you
were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the Name of
the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."
1 Timothy 2:5-6: "For there is One
God and One Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, Who
gave Himself as a ransom for all men--the testimony given in
its proper time."
1 John 5:13: "I write these things
to you who believe in the Name of the Son of God so that you may
know that you have eternal life."
