Part IV--The Family Of God / The Body Of Christ

F. Lesson 24--The Destiny of Christ's Body

    14. READ: 1 PETER 1:3-9

      d. What are believers in Jesus Christ filled with?

Answer: Believers in Jesus Christ are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, (verse 8).

MORE INFORMATION AND/OR OTHER SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:

Psalm 126:2-3: "Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, 'The Lord has done great things for them.' The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy."

Acts 16:34: "The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God--he and his whole family."

Romans 5:1-5: "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through Whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, Whom He has given us."

Romans 5:9-11: "Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through Him! For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life! Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through Whom we have now received reconciliation."

Philippians 4:4: "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!"
