Answer: Jesus was made into a human likeness, taking the very form, or nature, of a servant. His appearance to mankind was as a man, (verses 7 and 8).

Not only was Jesus "like" a human being, but He also took on the actual outward characteristics of a man:
Isaiah 53:2-3: "He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to Him, nothing in His appearance that we should desire Him. He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we esteemed Him not."
John 1:14: "The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, Who came from the Father, full of grace and Truth."
Romans 8:3: "For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending His Own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so He condemned sin in sinful man..."
Hebrews 2:14-18: "Since the children have flesh and blood, He too shared in their humanity so that by His death He might destroy him who holds the power of death--that is, the devil--and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.
