4. READ: PHILIPPIANS 2:5-11
e. What is the Name that is above every name?
Answer: Jesus is the Name that is above every name, (verses 9 and 10).
Consider the following:
Ephesians 1:19b-21: "That power is like the working of His mighty strength, which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come."
Hebrews 1:4-5: "So He [Jesus] became as much superior to the angels as the Name He has inherited is superior to theirs. For to which of the angels did God ever say, ‘You are My Son; today I have become Your Father'? Or again, ‘I will be His Father, and He will be My Son'?"
John 20:31: "But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His Name."
Acts 4:12: "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
