Answer: Jesus says that the person who does NOT love Him will NOT obey His teachings and commands. He also stated that the Words with which He taught (which we are to obey) were not His own Words, but that the Words He spoke in His teaching belong to the Father Who Sent Him, (verse 24).

Therefore, the person who does NOT obey the teachings and commands of Jesus is refusing to obey God. This kind of person shows by his refusal to obey Jesus that he neither loves Jesus NOR does he love the Father. Christ, the Holy Spirit (through Whom was inspired the teachings and commands Christ gave to us), and the Father are all ONE. To reject One of Them is to reject ALL of Them.
