    9. READ: MATTHEW 22:34-40

      a. What did Jesus say is the greatest commandment?

        Answer: When Jesus, whom the Pharisees addressed as "Teacher," was asked which was the greatest commandment, He quoted from the Word of God. (See Deuteronomy 6:5.) Jesus said that the first and greatest commandment was to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind," (verse 37).
