Part I--The Character Of Jesus Christ Our Lord

F. Lesson 6--Jesus Is The Savior Of The Obedient

    2. READ: 1 TIMOTHY 1:15-17

      d. Does the King deserve to be honored?

Answer: Yes, the King deserves ALL of our honor and glory. The King is eternal. He is immortal and invisible. He is the only God. Glory and honor BELONG to Him for ever and ever. Let it always be so, (verse 17).

MORE INFORMATION AND/OR OTHER SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:

Isaiah 9:6-7: "For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over His kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this."

1 Timothy 6:15b-16: "God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, Who alone is immortal and Who lives in unapproachable light, Whom no one has seen or can see. To Him be honor and might forever. Amen."

Revelation 17:14: "They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because He is Lord of lords and King of kings--and with Him will be His called, chosen and faithful followers."

Revelation 19:16: "On His robe and on His thigh He has this Name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS."
