If, having received the principle of holiness from Him, we live a holy and righteous life, deriving continual light, power, and life from Him, then we have fellowship one with another; that is, we have communion with God, and God condescends to hold communion with us. God and a holy heart are in continual correspondence.
Psalm 56:13: "For You have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life."
Psalm 89:15: "Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim You, who walk in the light of Your presence, O Lord."
Isaiah 2:5: "Come, O house of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the Lord."
John 8:12: "When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'"
John 12:35-36a: "Then Jesus told them, ‘You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. The man who walks in the dark does not know where he is going. Put your trust in the light while you have it, so that you may become sons of light.'"
