However, many
of the others that you may not recognize are colleges, in some
cases, that were lost to the brotherhood after 1906. If you
go to this website, all of these are set up in such a way that they
are quick links to the websites of these colleges and
universities. I went to the website of some of these that I
didn’t recognize and looked a little bit at their history and
noted that, indeed they were established, in some cases, early in
the 19th Century to the middle part of the
19th Century, and so on, and they claimed their roots to
be in the Restoration Movement; in the Stone-Campbell
Movement. But, again, they would represent colleges and
universities that went with those who were of the Disciples and
Christian church. I offer the list to you as a source of
information, for what it’s worth. I found that it was
interesting just to take a look down that list to see what we might
recognize, and then maybe wonder about those that we don’t
recognize.
